Hey all -
Check out our new promo video comprised mainly of concert footage from our headlining gig at the Rock Cancer festival in Little Chute, WI last summer:

We had a blast at this concert and are so glad that we had some good friends of the band working hard to get this event caught on tape. Thanks!! Another big thanks to event organizer Jim Spierings for giving us the opportunity to headline his festival for the second year in a row!

Minneapolis Cover Band Creates New Awesome T-Shirt Design

It’s been ages since we’ve posted and it’ll probably be additional ages proceeding this post, so don’t bother checking back…

BUUUUT

wanted to let you playaaas know we’ve got some new t-shirt designs we’re thinking about. I’ve ordered a prototype of one shirt so far. The front plays on the fact that 90% of the band is currently sick, while the back plays off the joke that venues never spell or punctuate our name correctly. It’s “FlashMob!”

FlashMob! heads to Green Bay area to play for Rock Cancer Benefit

Chopper cams captured aerial views of Minnesota’s hottest cover band and Sony BMG sponsored regoinal act, FlashMob! as they made their way to Green Bay, Wisconsin this week to headline the annual Rock Cancer outdoor music fundraiser festival. The Mob will play in Doyle Park this coming Saturday night at 10pm. Singer Collin and guitarist Grant will make an appearance on Fox 11′s Good Day Wisconsin morning show Friday, playing a few songs to help promote the event. The duo will play at approximately 7:50am CST, 8:50am CST, and during the show’s credits.

Images of the group in transit can be found below. Upon arrival in the Green Bay area, singer Collin appeared to be holding a bucket of KFC fried chicken as he exited the vehicle. It is assumed he consumed said chicken during transit.

Joining in on the inane Bros Icing Bros phenomenon (mainly because I’ve been iced twice, or “twiced” if you will, by Laura and Collin in the past few weeks), I decided to spread the love and ice Joe at his recent co-ed baby shower. Yes, please consider this the formal FM announcement that Joe’s wife is knocked up. By him, even. Quite the event. Anywho… Laura had bumped into me downtown at the Newsroom the night before and decided to get me iced, so when it came time to ice Joe I decided to include her as well. Check out the video here:

Here’s a new promo video I put together with footage from our Spring “tour.”

Things will be really heating up in the coming weeks with the recording of our new album on Sony BMG, so I wanted to make sure and properly archive video from Spring 2010 before life got ka-razy!

Reasons Chad Kroeger is a douche

Let’s touch on some reasons why Chad Kroeger, lead singer of Nickelback, is a giant douche:

Chad and co. are from Canada, land of the douche (the term “douche” actually originated in French Quebec, confirming Canadian’s are douches for 1) being French and 2) coining such a ridiculous term for what is essentially a medical squirt gun)
Selection of lyrics from Nickelback’s song “Rockstar:”
“I’m gonna trade this life for fortune and fame, I’d even cut my hair and change my name”
When did people start cutting their hair to become rock stars??
“Everybody’s got a drug dealer on speed dial”
Who still uses speed dial? He might as well drop a reference to his pager. Wouldn’t the dealer just be in your cell phone under “contacts?”
The year is no longer 2001.
Chad Kroeger eats Creed for breakfast. That’s why his farts smell so horrible.
Chad is the executive producer of the “hit” Fox News Corporation (run by heartless communications mogul Rupert Murdoch — seriously his heart has been replaced by a car battery) TV show Glee. Unsubstantiated claim? Maybe. True? Probably. Judge for yourself:

Clearly anyone who assists in bringing Glee into the homes of America needs no further justification to receive grade-A douchery labeling.

Anticipation is rising for Rock Cancer 2010!! This was seriously our favorite gig of 2009, so we are way beyond pumped to be a part of this again. Below is some video of concert promoter Jim Spierings being interviewed last year by Fox11 days before the event. Jim mentions us as The Subsidies, which was the prior incarnation of FlashMob!
